The Scanlin Funeral Home is independently owned and operated by James P. Scanlin.
Jim is a graduate of LaSalle University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in history. After graduation, he proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Army. Following his military service, Jim attended the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and graduated in 1978. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, Chalfont Lions Club, Chalfont Fire Company, Knights of Columbus, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Veterans & Family Memorial Care Association and is very active in his church.

One of Jim’s favorite hobbies is playing the banjo in the ballad groups, Sligo Road and Scanlin & O’Leary. Both groups perform at concerts, festivals, pubs and private functions
