John “Jack” Collins

John “Jack” Collins of Chalfont passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the age of 68.

Jack was the loving husband of Sandra (Linton) Collins and beloved father of Mary Catherine Belknap, John Dennis Collins II (Patti), Megan Collins and Brendan Collins.  He is survived by his grandchildren Rori, Hannah, Nathan and Evin.

Born March 11, 1951 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Daniel Joseph and Eileen Loretta (O’Hara) Collins. Jack was the third of six children and is survived by siblings, Mary Eileen Perri (David), Joan Denise Scullin (Thomas), Joseph P. Collins (Cindy), and Lisa A. Collins; his sister-in-law Terri Sackett (John), godmother Joan Braconnier, and many extended family members.  He was predeceased by his brother Daniel J. Collins.

Jack loved spending time with family, enjoyed the company of good friends, and was fascinated watching the osprey fly over while enjoying the view from his porch in Avalon.  He was a longstanding member of the Sons of The American Legion Arthur V. Savage, Post 100 and Bocce Club of Chestnut Hill, an alumnus of La Salle College High School (Class of 1969) and La Salle College and a proud assistant scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 36.

He had a smile for everyone and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and relatives are invited to greet the family from 6-9 PM, Monday Evening, April 15 and 9:30-11 AM, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at St. Jude Church, 321 W Butler Ave, Chalfont, PA 18914.  His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM, Tuesday, April 16 at St. Jude Church.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
